Giotto’s Campanile

A free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral on the Piazza del Duomo in Florence, Italy.

The tower is one of the showpieces of the Florentine Gothic architecture with its design by Giotto, its rich sculptural decorations and the polychrome marble encrustations.


Duomo Museum

The Duomo Museum is located in the Duomo district near Florence’s spectacular Cathedral. It contains some wonderful sculptures, paintings and Brunelleschi’s architectural models for the cathedral’s dome.

Palazzo Vecchio

The Palazzo Vecchio (Old Palace) is the city hall of Florence. It was built at the start of the 14th century as the Palazzo del Popolo, or Palace of the People. The fortress-like building with crenellated walls is one of the city’s most famous landmarks.
